1. Who we are
ExhibitorScraper ("we", "us", "the Service") is a tool that extracts publicly available exhibitor information from trade show directories and exports it as an Excel file. For any privacy question, contact shahajay213@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: when you sign up, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (bcrypt). We never store your password in plain text.
- Usage data: the URLs you submit for scraping and the resulting job status, kept temporarily to run and deliver your export.
- Analytics (only with consent): if you accept cookies, Microsoft Clarity collects anonymized usage and session-replay data to help us improve the product. Clarity is not loaded until you accept.
3. Third-party API keys (Apollo.io)
If you choose to use Apollo.io contact enrichment, you provide your own Apollo API key. The key is transmitted over HTTPS and used only to perform the enrichment you requested for that job. It is held in memory for the duration of the job and is not written to our database or returned in any API response. It is discarded when the job's temporary record expires.
4. Cookies
- Authentication cookie: a strictly necessary, httpOnly session cookie that keeps you logged in. It cannot be read by JavaScript and is not used for tracking.
- Analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity): set only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can decline, and you can clear the choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.
5. How we use your data
- To authenticate you and provide the scraping service.
- To run the specific jobs you request and deliver the resulting Excel file.
- With your consent, to understand product usage and fix issues.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Data retention
Account records are retained while your account is active. Scrape jobs, their results, and any provided Apollo key are stored only temporarily (typically for up to 30 minutes after completion) and then automatically deleted. Analytics data is retained per Microsoft Clarity's retention policy.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw analytics consent. To exercise any of these rights, email shahajay213@gmail.com.
8. Data about exhibitors
Exhibitor data produced by the Service is collected from publicly accessible trade show directories. You are responsible for ensuring your use of that data complies with applicable laws (including marketing and data-protection laws) in your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
